SubC Imaging is a subsea camera system provider that has been in business for over 10 years. They came to us looking for help to grow their business through an enhanced business development and marketing plan. Our work with SubC Imaging has involved:
Getting to know our customers’ customers is our top priority when the time comes to develop the marketing strategy, key messaging and outreach tactics for a campaign. We did this through one-on-one interviews with marine researchers to understand what they look for in a subsea camera system provider.
Using the insights gathered from the primary research stage, we created a Sales Growth Strategy for the Ocean Science market and settled on email, LinkedIn, direct mail and passive content marketing as the ideal approach to getting on the radar of marine researchers.
SALES PIPELINE DEVELOPMENT
We conducted online research to identify all the ocean observatories and research institutes in the world. Our next step was to identify the marine researchers within these organizations and create a customer database that allows for precise targeting.
Exhibitions are a big part of SubC’s business development strategy and, right away, we saw that there was room for improvement. Tailoring their message to each conference was the main recommendation we made and to do this, we created custom marketing materials that spoke directly to marine researchers.
PRODUCT MARKETING (VIDEO STREAMING)
SubC Imaging approached us with a new product, online video streaming, and asked us to help them market it to existing and new customers. We created an email campaign and landing page to target existing customers.
