The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre hired us in 2018 to give their brand a refresh from top to bottom. One of the areas we helped them with was developing marketing materials aimed at attracting more tourists to the Centre and the trails that surround it.
Respect the Rack Card
Printed rack cards are still an important marketing tool for tourism attractions due to the network of visitor information sites that are spread across Newfoundland and Labrador. During the tourist season, visitors go to these sites to learn about the region and to find interesting things to do. Having an attractive and engaging rack card is critical in order to stand amongst “the competition” and to pique the interest of tourists.
The Ten Panel Wonder
Our first idea when it comes to creating a killer rack card for Manuels River was to make it significantly more substantive. A double-sided rack card is extremely limiting content-wise and we felt a lot more real estate was needed to present a proper preview of what Manuels River could offer a tourist. What we came up with was a 10 panel design that folds down to a traditional rack card size – the extra space allowed us to feature a delightful trail map on the back and compelling activity descriptions on the inside. The end product was a beauty and difficult to keep in stock!
