When it came time to advertise Capital Mitsubishi’s special financing for recent graduates we installed big bows on brand-new Mitsubishi Lancers and parked them all over Memorial University’s campus on the last day of classes. On each windshield were different light-hearted hand-written notes from “Mom & Dad”, such as “Congratulations Tim, maybe now you’ll move out.” The local newspaper, the Telegram, mistook the stunt for a real news story and made quick work of telling the whole province about all the students that were given cars for graduating.
