Creative Director

We’re on the hunt for a Creative Director that can come up with big ideas and oversee our creative team to bring those big ideas to life.

The Opportunity

  • Title: Creative Director
  • Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 CAD + benefits
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, and other relevant fields
  • Experience: At least 10 years experience as a copywriter, experience as a Creative Director is preferred but not a requirement
  • Term: Permanent, full-time
  • Location: The successful candidate does not need to be based in Newfoundland and Labrador

The Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and motivated creative director to lead our company’s creative department.

  • The successful candidate must possess excellent leadership qualities and a positive attitude, as well as the ability to maximize the talents of their team
  • Exceptional concept development and copywriting skills are also a requirement
  • As the creative director, you will work closely with the graphic design and strategy team to deliver engaging creative that meets (and hopefully exceeds) the expectations of our clients
  • You need to be extremely creative, dedicated, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with the strategy and creative team to produce new ideas for company branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data, and keep up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques
  • Assist the account team in resolving issues by responding to questions in a timely and professional manner
  • Create and implement tailored, original marketing campaigns based on individual client requirements
  • Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions
  • Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all products are brand appropriate
  • Supervise the department’s daily workflow, assign project workloads, and monitor deadlines 
  • Develop exceptional and well-crafted copy that meets clients’ requirements
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker
  • A solid understanding of design, copy, and web practices
  • Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models

The Key Dates
